We removed old leaking copper
and found standing water.

All copper was removed, and the
deck was prepared for our base of
Ice and Water Shield.

 

We installed Certainteed HT Ice and Water Shield to the wood deck prior to copper installation.

With our red rosin paper installed, we started installing the new copper roofing. 

 

Flat seam copper roofing installation in progress along with installed wall flashings. 

 

Major wood rot was found under Spanish tile roof that is adjacent to the flat seam copper roof.

 

Upon removal of rotten wood decking we also discovered the main beams were also rotten. 

 

Rotten wood was removed and replaced. Seams were supported with new steel plates. and bolted together.

Installed a new cedar rim board over rotten rim board.

 

A  unique corner detail. 

 

The flat seam copper roof tie in to the slopped roof in which we will install clay Spanish tile over the newly installed 3 ply system.

 

The flat seam copper roof is just about done. We just need to install counter flashing and coping.
